Just a word of warning, if you're going to be there at 8am, better bring a newspaper to read. Based on my experience at this auction in past years, they rarely open the doors until around 9am.

BUMP! Want to see updates, video and whatever else you guys got/didn't get........

Only thing I've heard so far, as of 9:45 AM from a co-worker who drove down from Fargo is that most games were not able to be powered up, so there was no way to check operability by the 10am auction start.

Only specific comment was that the Ms.Pac had delaminating plywood sides and the screen was basically black and white with fairly faded artwork and that many of the conversions were in rough shape.

I had to leave an go to work. Some bargains. A Golden Tee 2005 went for $100, one with a crappy monitor and trouble booting up I think $175. Tapper $800. Tron cabinet with another game in it $85. Some of the big games were going for around $150.

LTG :)

Just got back. There were some good deals to be had, but not a ton.

I was bidding on Karate Champ. There were 2 there - I let the first one go for $175. Second one I got for $125. Mine has a complete CP, but is missing the bezel and has a cracked marquee.

I also picked up a Rowe change machine for $75.

Exchanged/traded a few goodies with the locals.

Will post pics later.

You are a man of your word,,, last year, in my MOMA picture thread, you said:
"I never should have let that Karate Champ go for $150. I'm still angry about that."

Good job. You didn't let the Karate Champ get away this year!

Damn right. After the doofus bid me to $200 for one with craptastic control panel and even shittier-tastic cabinet, I was in for the second one, no matter what the cost. In the end I had to buy TWO cabs just to get the one I wanted, but thanks to Ross I was able to unload one of them.

Now I just need to see about getting a bezel for mine...

Glad you got your Karate Champ... but just so you know... I took it with me into the crapper and played a few rounds. I may have left you a nice steaming one in the coin bucket. Pics coming.
