I went there last year and took my wife, daughter, and nephew (it was his birthday) and it was great. I came home with my Polaris TrimLine for $199 (I love that game). This year, my nephew didn't ask to go for his birthday, but my wife asked if her and my daughter could go again this year. I was pretty stoked to hear that. Anyways, I'll be there. If anyone wants to say hi I will be there on saturday. I'll be the one in the red Star Trek themed powerchair. I probably won't be coming home with any games (*edit...My wife and I agreed I won't be coming home with any full size cabs. If I get something it will be a mini or cocktail), but I should be able to stay longer this year.

I'm tentatively planning to go. We're expecting a new baby a couple weeks before the show, so it might be hard to get away for a long enough time that weekend to justify the fee.

Subscribed, bookmarked, and definitely going!

Maybe I can meet some local KLOVers! That is so awesome that you picked up your Polaris from this Expo for $199. I'll make sure to come up prepared to buy a game and/or parts/merch!

There are lots of Pins and Vids for sale as well as vendors selling parts. Some of the games are over priced, but there are alway a few good deals to be had. Here's a picture of my game there...

I just wish I had extra money and space to pick up the Defender Cocktail that was next to it. It was one nice looking machine.

Even on the floor with bright lighting it looks great! I can never get that lucky with a Trimline. I've been looking for a Space Invaders Trim, had a shot at one that was complete/non-working, but it slipped through my fingers. I think it was in Fort Collins. They always seem to be too far away. The same happens with Cabarets and Minis!

That tidbit of Defender is in good shape too :D I wonder if that was a bargain as well... Although, I would hope for a Joust or Robotron cocktail as I play those games more. It's too bad that those cocktails are less common.

Maybe there will be a good deal at that expo! I'm also going to see if I can enter a pin tournament and see how awful I am.

Can't wait! :)

I watched the Pinball Showdown 2011 YouTube video...Definitely a pinball feature! Saw some really neat videos in that lineup i.e.: I Robot Cabaret prototype in what is either a Battle Zone or Asteroids Deluxe, a glimpse of your Polaris, Ms. Pac Man mini, Galaga, Tron, and a Gauntlet. Funny how they had both the Defender upright and cocktail show up. Love Defender, but I just wish it didn't kick my ass so much. :(

Some of my favorite pins too!

How long ago did you try to pick up that SI TrimLine??? There was one in Fort Collins that I was trying to get to fix up my SI TrimLine and missed out on it too. I ended up going to Loveland and getting my donor parts cab...

Here was my thread on last year's RMPS...

Ohhh... It was a while ago. It must have been less than a year I would say. Popped up on Craigslist with the seller saying: Non-working, would be great for a college dorm room! Or something along those lines. Tried to contact him, but he wouldn't answer. If I remember right, I emailed him either the same day or day after.

It's possible that you were looking at the same game! I haven't seen any other Trimlines appear in Colorado. The only games I've heard of was the one in Fort Collins and the two in your possession.

Tell me, does the guy in the Loveland have a spare Trimline? :D

I hope that Gottlieb Strange World comes back! Along with Fathom and Medusa. Some of those uncommon and unusual games.

I am so hyped up about this! This is my first time going, obviously!

I know an Operator in Loveland that would be your best chance at finding one. PM me and I'll give you his contact info. He has over 400 games and a huge warehouse. He has games all over Fort Collins, Loveland, and other places. JDGjr has one and snagged himself a junked donor cab too. They're out there.

Strange World is way cool, probably won't be there this year but there still will be great pins. Bob has lots of games, but keep in mind he's an op. Some are pretty beat up.

I have a workshop for my job in Denver that week, so I'm flying in a day early from Atlanta to catch the tail end of the show. I'll be there Sunday and will be hitting up The 1up arcade practically every night that week. Hope to meet some of you guys!

I heard that on the podcast. Too bad you aren't going to be there on Saturday.

I appreciate it! I'm going to have to find a weekend so I can scan this place wall to wall.

Like a supermarket for beat up games, but sometimes you'll find something special in that pile. I like the sound of that!

I've never seen a Strange World in person. The only way I can get a feeling about how it plays is through Visual Pinball. Too bad my previous laptop fried. I'm going to have to get a desktop that I can fix and has the moxie to play a game or two.

Strange World ended up being one of my favorite Visual Pinball games from that era. The classic sci-fi art style, volley slingshots, hard to hit targets, and skill shots. Very cool looking game. It's too bad they had a very low production number.

I wouldn't mind picking up a beater if it can be fixed. Especially if it is a favorite of mine! That's what this hobby is all about, right? To preserve what is left of the arcades and enjoying the games to the best of our ability...At least that's what I get from it.

I better see you guys there! I'm going to be playing mainly 70s and 80s pins along with the few games available. I wonder if they'll have a Gorgar there... YOU...HURRRRT...GOOORRRRGAAAARRR :D

It was low production but they pop up for sale occasionally, sometimes you have to look for awhile. I could stare at the backglass all day, way trippy.

I know where there are a couple Strange Worlds ;)

Dude, you seem to know where everything is Mr. Dedicated Universal Mr. Do! Cocktail Person :D Yeah, I read that thread. Awesome pickup and an interesting story too! Who knew one of the American reps for Universal lived in Parker?...

Clearly, there's a much better selection up north...I'm in the wrong part of Colorado.
