Is it possible to burn audio cd s to play on a legend 7000? I have tried two different programs but the legend isn't able to read the cd. They play on a regular car cd player so I think the format is correct. Any ideas?

Thanx

It's definately possible, I worked for an op and all of ours out on the street had burned cd's. You may want to try a different color cd, maybe the blanks you're using aren't compatible with it.

Mine plays CDs burned with Windows Media Player, Nero, Roxio, MusicMatch, and probably others, so I doubt the burner program would be the problem. All were either mp3 128 kbs files or copies of new CDs and were done with CD audio as the output. Assuming the CD player is not at fault, I would suspect a problem with the bit rate of the files being copied or a file type the player can't recognize, such as mp4 or WMA.

think I found it

Think I found the solution. The Legend uses the cdm12 laser assembly which I believe a few of the Rowe's use also. Anyway I used a HP 650MB CD. I am hoping any 650MB CD will work. Thanx for your replies.

yeah, i've found with CD jukes - especially Rockola brands - that the media manufacturer can be important. Some brands won't work and some will. Usually, the cheaper the disks, the more problems. I've found that the Fujifilm ones seem to be pretty good...

My entire Rockola 2000X juke is loaded with burned CDs. What I found to work the best is to burn the CD on the slowest speed possible. Better yet, if you have access to an old PC, meaning WIndows 98 and an old CD burner, then it'll work even better. I used my old Win 98 computer with a CD burner that can do 2x burns. 95% of the time, everything works fine in the juke. There are the rare times where it doesn't read a song and then ejects the CD. I remap the CD and all is fine.

Oh, yeah... That helps a lot, too. As soon as you load up the juke with the CDs, make sure to map them all through the juke computer. It takes about 10 minutes but is worth it!
