I began vectorizing a Rockola CPO that I had scanned a while back as I need to have an Eyes CPO printed for myself for an upcoming resto. Though the colors are right, I realized that this is a Rockola CPO for some trackball game? What CPO did I just vectorize, and how hard will it be to tweak this into an Eyes CPO?

I would say that you could just fill in the track ball hole and call it good. It looks a lot like what is on the machine picture on KLOV. Actually, I would fill in all the holes (button and bolt holes). That way if you are off ever so little, you won't see the white on one side of a button or a bolt. Maybe a black "X" in the center of the hole like what was done on your Joust multi CPO.

Otherwise, the arrows look like they are in the right spot. I say what you have done looks really nice.

That's the correct overlay for Eyes. Rock-Ola's overlays had over-sized holes for the joystick, which was then covered by a metal plate.

The four holes that appear at the "diagonal" positions around the joystick are intended for the four corners of that metal plate.

You can see a decent picture of a similar control panel on KLOV's Warp Warp entry. Warp Warp uses the same "joystick mounted through a square metal plate" set up that Eyes uses, despite not being centered like Eyes.

Cool, thanks Kyle. So the 4 way arrows are correct then as well. The large hole was throwing me when I got done with it last night at midnight. Well then all I need is to tweak the Rockola logo a bit and this is ready to print. As to the button and bolt holes, I was just tracing the scan. I can always put small x's at the center of all the holes and remove the white circles.

I just happened to be watching this video related to the Kong Off. You can get a good view of the previously mentioned metal plate on a Rock-Ola Nibbler at the 3:42 mark (Richie even mentions it formerly being an Eyes control panel):

Cool, thanks. Anyone looking for a Rockola Eyes CPO Repro? I'll be sending this file to Rich, along with my cigarette burnt original (for color-matching), for him to reproduce. I would assume if we get enough interest, this would be an easy one to screen, otherwise laminated inkjet would be the only other option.

Where these Rockola Cp just an overlay?

I have a thrundercade machine I would like too reconvert back too Eyes or Jump Bug .

Yep, these where originally adhesive-backed overlays. They also look to have a pebble-textured laminate on them.

where did you get your overlay from? I have not seen any places remaking this stuff

Are you reading the thread correctly? I VECTORIZED this CPO from a scan of a NOS CPO that someone borrowed me last year. It is currently an Illustrator file on my computer. What you are seeing is a .jpg image of the Illustrator file. Took me about 2 hours so far and there are a few small details that I need to clean up. I will be sending the file to Rich for him to print when it is ready.

No, really.. Where did you get the overlay in that picture?

j/k

Looks like you could take out the fire buttons, change the colors, and have a Nibbler CPO.

I actually just got the exact paint match for the metal plates done at a local auto paint store. I have the green and the blue. It's absolutely perfect

BTW - I haven't seen anyone accurately answer the question as to which CPO he vectorized in the first post. I believe it is Jump Bug...
