I have an rockola 474 and have fixed most of the problems with it,but one remains. When the unit is first started, i add credits by putting coins in,then select my records, the machine is in the home position, the magazine then moves about 1" then stops, pressing the selection again the magizine moves again. If i select a number that reqires the unit to pass home it will always stop on home and stay there. i then select the same record again, it will play all records as long as it does not need to pass the home position. have checked all micro switches, but may still have a flaky one. I do have the manual. thanks in advance for any help this forum can give.

Mr. Ken Thanks for the reply. On page 39 of my manual the wobble plate switch is shown. I will check the switch and let the forum know. I bought 2 474`s for $125.00. The one with a bad cabinet has the most good parts,so have been robbing peter to pay paul. The juke box is a hit with family and friends. Will let you know about progress. Larry

from larry checked wobble sw. and coil.both check good. have noticed when mag. stops it stops just before home. when a number is pressed it moves about 1" which is the correct home. i have to press again , the arms on the left of the wobble plate goes to the right pin and sellects it. if i push the wobble plate sw instead of the same number it goes to the correct record. the wobble plate sw does activate. larry

Mr. Ken copper wobble plate sw actuator is not broken off. Larry

That wobble plate switch is what carries over the motor power circuit. If that actuator is broken or the wobble plate microswitch is bad then no motor carryover circuit completion.

These guys are excellent.

BTW, the longtime game operator I used to work for in the 70's had tons of Rockola jukes. That copper wobble plate actuator broke all the time. I always kept a couple of dozen in stock in our parts department.
