I'm finishing my Robotron restoration and I am trying to make it completely original, the last item I'm struggling with is the coin box lock out switch. My cab was so hacked-up that it was missing, so I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of how it is mounted and secondly,
would anyone happen to have an extra one or know if they can stillbe purchased.

Additionally, has anyone done a reproduction of the WIlliam's Service Switch Decal?

Thanks
Greg

I never took much notice of it, but is this what you are referring to? (See pic).

Also, what exactly is it for?

I have a new Robotron harness from Dokert that he made a few months ago if you are interested?

Braido - I had Dokert build me one, his work is so good, the harness was so easy to install.

Muel - that is the decal I was looking for - thanks

Darren - that is the switch I was talking about, one last question, can you tell if the switch is a standard interlock switch, one that is either push or pulled to operate, and finally does it make contact with the coin box door in some fashion, if its not too much trouble can you snap a picture from the front so I can see.

Thank you for all your help.

The switch that you are looking for is the SAME (3 terminal) switch as the one that is on your coin door. It is NOT the same as the safety interlock (4 terminal) switch on the back of the cabinet. It is a momentary switch. The switch does not make contact with anything, (like a door.) The purpose of this switch I believe is for the operator to access the bookkeeping totals while collecting the coins from the coinbox area. If you open the lower coinbox door, you'll find a hole there where the switch is mounted.

You could wire a 4-Terminal switch to work, but if you want to make it original - it is a 3-prong switch like this:

I had to restore a Joust that was missing all this hardware (switches) as well and was in the same boat as you as far as trying to put together all the missing pieces.

Good luck with the restore!

The cash box switch is an E-69 available with bracket from Bob Roberts as pictured here by D_Harris

The coin door interlock is a F-79 also available from Bob with mounting bracket.
