I already had a newer ATX power supply hooked up to my Robotron. periodic reboots led me to believe the power supply was bad. I purchased a switching supply with williams conversion kit from arcade shop. Upon switching the supplies, I noticed a -12V wire being connected to the old atx switching supply. but on my new ps there is only +12v. Where would I connect this -12V wire on the new supply?

got sound...Just have to fix rebooting issue.

I have a slight rebooting issue as well. It's caused by a bad ribbon cable (in my case) from the CPU board to the ROM board... I'm just too lazy to fix it. Seems to be a fairly common issue; if you haven't changed that ribbon cable out yet, might be a good place to start?

I noticed the rebooting increasing once I changed the entire first bank of memory. You think I should change the other remaining banks first?

Are you using 4164s for ram? (All 24 should be changed).

Also, from what I understand, using only an original rebuilt Williams power supply will correct some problems, which include resetting of scores.

They were't 4164s but 4116s. I replaced the remaining 2 banks and the rebooting wasn't as frequent. another look on and around the mainboard I see a grounding strap touching the metal plating under the mainboard. Once I moved the grounding strap away, the game played flawlessly. I played it for over 2 hours with no rebooting! Back to level 15 for me! Thanks a bunch everyone!!!
