Hey-

I'm looking for a photo or two of the mounting arrangement for a set of Robotron boards.
Oh- I found a pic of this, but read on...

I'm missing the mounting plate(s) also, but I guess they're not absolutely necessary. About the only thing I'm missing is a volume control. I'll rig something up if need be.

Also, does anyone know if the wiring diagram for the coin door in the original manual is just whacked? Pins 8, 11, and 12 (slam, HighScore reset, and R coin in the schematic) don't agree with the door I have. Everything else does. A second door shows the same scrambled arrangement.

I'll need to rewire the CP after removing some additional buttons too..
The joysticks are not centered from left to right, are they? It looks like the distance from the left edge to the first stick is about the same as from the right stick to the two start buttons.

I'm hoping I don't have to drill the CP. I think there are just some added buttons that I can remove and patch up.

OK-

I have been poking around with the schematics a little and the wiring on my Defender coin door too.

The wiring on my Defender door (not the stainless steel type) matches the wiring on the old Robotron cabinet door.

pin 8 is right coin
pin 11 is tilt
pin 12 is high score reset

The JOUST manual has these pins correctly labeled on the wiring diagram.

The ROBOTRON and DEFENDER manuals have these pins incorrectly labled. They are labeled as:
pin 8 is tilt WRONG
pin 11 is high score reset WRONG
pin 12 is right coin WRONG

Actually, I wonder if the wiring for the stainless steel door matches up with the manual.
All three manuals agree that the connector sending these signals to the PCB are:
pin 3 = Right coin
pin 4 = HS reset
pin 7 = slam/tilt

I may still have a spare Williams mounting plate (CPU, ROM, Widget) and will check tonight.
