What are my options for this thing? I found repro's but they are pricey and I'll flip my lid if it breaks in transit so I'd rather not risk it. I have seen a cardboard underlay that gets sandwiched between the glass and monitor bezel also but it's just not the same. Anyone have any other options? A repro decal maybe?

Is Arcade Shop's $65 + S/H really too much given the time and quality of running around to find an appropriate replacement?

I traded for a used one just to get a Robotron thrasher project complete.

Now $65 is better than other pricing I've seen, maybe the price went down,or it was someone else selling them but at the time I looked awhile back they were $100. It's just that I have never had glass shipped to many and have read the horror stories with pics about bad bezel shipments. I suppose I'll give them a try as I have enjoyed buying from them in the past and I trust their packing being that they are an actual business.

Maybe you're thinking of the Phoenixarcade tinted glass one. It was more expensive when available, is going to be more expensive now, and is a get-what-you-pay-for in that it's that much nicer than the Arcadeshop piece. The AS plexi is probably fine, but some would rather rather tinted glass, like the original piece.

arcadeshop is a reputable source and $65 for screened glass is a great deal!
most "horror" stories come from inexperienced sellers trying to save and cut corners.

Ive shipped hundreds of pieces of glass and have yet to have a broken one.
(knocking on wood) as Im currently shipping Burgertime Glass Bezel replacements :D

wait the AS one is plexi??

The original is tinted? Any reason as to why my original is clear then?

I suppose I could be wrong. I thought it was..

Arcadeshop had both plexi and glass. A couple years ago they did not have any glass ones left. I do not know if they currently stock glass.
