Hopefully you'll get them this time. I was afraid they would sell out at the other place if you waited as they said the blue was low in stock and they were selling them higher priced because of it.
Robotron 1P and 2P buttons.. what should I do?

I totally don't think anyone intentionally was trying to say "hey look! VG needs those buttons!! Let's buy them all and watch him cry!" LOL If they were, I must be alot more popular than I thought I was (or for that matter, less popular!).
It just totally blew my mind that the email said they sold out "overnight". With any luck though the new buttons from pinballlife will arrive by the weekend and I'll have my zen back.
The only thing I REALLY hate is it's the 1 player button that has the big cig melt on it, and it hits your finger every time you start the 1-player game. Then again, maybe that little bit of punishment before you start the actual game might be a good thing: the anger it generates can be taken out on the 'grunts'.

Thanks! Yeah I got a confirmation message yesterday that they are on the way. So as long as the mail truck doesn't back up over my box twice, I should be in good shape soon!

I think you're right, that even with the new buttons the light will be dim, especially since the lights aren't built 'into' the button in some way. I think the location of the 44 sockets are a bit far to be able to make those buttons light as they were probably envisioned to be. I'd even tinkered with the idea of going with LED buttons in place of the originals, but they might actually be *too* bright.
Would you be able to snap a pic of your original buttons and post them? Do they have a small hole drilled out in the center of the button? My 1P button does currently and I'm trying to see if it's an OEM one or not.

The light is dim, that's they way it was made. Joust is set up the same way.

New buttons arrived yesterday, and I installed them this AM. They look GREAT!!!!!!!!! I will get a pic that helps show off the new look!

Glad you finally got the buttons for your Robotron. I have been playing with the idea of putting led lights under my buttons to make them brighter.
