Ok, I am still a noob on here, but I have been reading every new post on this part of the forum since I joined. I been learning and researching so I have some idea of what I am doing when I finally get my first pin. Ok to the point, one of the pins that I am really interested in getting my hands on is Robo-War. Of course I haven't played it yet, as I found out about it from www.ipdb.com. Has anyone here played it? What did you think of it? Will it be hard to find one? What would be a good price to pay for one that works, but needs to be shopped?

I had one a few years back. I would say it is average to good play for the time period. Personally I love the early to late 80's Gottliebs. I had to sell due to money issues, but wish I didn't. When I sold it I got $550 4-5 years ago, It looked and worked great. I personally had never seen one before mine, nor have I seen one after I sold mine, so it may be hard to find.
Good luck on your search

One of my favorite gottliebs, don't see it much these days.
It's a good pin.

I have one, it is a personal favorite. It took quite awhile to find it, won't let it go for anything....

I love it too!!!! Played it alot bitd.... I have a TX Sector so the Robo War would go nicely together. That being said I would probably pay around $500 for one no more than 6 bills though. I saw the one on ebay but for 1k, wow!! Anyway, Robo War is a Gottlieb and I forewarn you that some of these can be a b***h fix. Ground Mods are a must!!!! Even if it works great now eventually it's going to act goofy!

TX Sector ---nice :) I would love to have one of those too. There was a Excalibur up for sale nearby that I had to pass on. I think it's good to have two of a system to help with those times when troubleshooting--when/if possible.

Yeah I saw that one too. Apparently he has it for $1,175 obo, and someone has made two different offers and both were turned down. It looks to be in good shape, but he thinks he has gold. I wonder if he will drop his price when it doesn't sell. You can see in the photo he has two of the side by side. Probably selling one and keeping one for himself.

Anyways I appreciate the input. My current budget for a pin is no more then $800, and try to pay less then that if I can. So this pin, if I find one, is in my budget. I would actually like to find one in little bit more of a worn shap since I have mod plans. Would really hate to tear up a perfectly good one.

Interesting I wander what the offers were that were declined! They definately are not easy to come by. I talked with a guy on rgp about these adn he said the Gottlieb/Premier pins were huge sellers across the pond so who knows how many were exported!

I love my Tx been looking for one for awhile. I also picked up a project Genesis and also own a El Dorado and City of Gold.....I would like to get more...Rock/Rock Encore and Robo War and Arena. My ultimate goal is to find a 1982 Gottlieb Spirit!
