I've got a strange issue I'm trying to narrow down, just spent some time trying different things. What's happening is that the sensor in front of the bulldozer would not register consistently, but was intermittent, or would start working after powering the machine on/off. So, I bought a new sensor, but I can NOT get the thing to work at all. I though maybe a bad wire, though I did check for the proper voltage to the eddy board (+12v read +13.3v).

I decided to switch the eddy boards in front of Red and the bulldozer to try to narrow down the problem (as the one for Red has had no problems at all). But, then neither eddy board or sensor would work. (So my working one from Red, now at bulldozer would not work, and non-working one from bulldozer now at Red would not work). Upon switching them back to original positions, Red is now working again, but still not the bulldozer (even though a brand new sensor).

Seems like I have a bad signal wire going to CPU connectors J209, pin 8 and J207, pin4.

But, is there a way to check an Eddy board or a Sensor out of the machine?

I did not take the time to fine tune Red's eddy board when I moved it to the bulldozer for testing. Could that be the reason it did not work at all there, instead of a bad wire? Or, should it have at least registered intermittently, therefore still pointing to a bad wire?

Any other ideas or suggestions for where to look?

Thanks.

Switched eddy's again, and adjusted the one that was in front of Red, now at bulldozer, and it worked. I then decided to re-flow pins on one that wasn't working properly, put it back in the game, and all of a sudden all 3 sensors (Red, bulldozer, and hit ted) went out. Turns out the +12v stopped getting thru the wiring. All grounds and wires to sensors were good for continuity from power driver board to sensor connectors, and also from the cpu to sensor connectors. Tested the power driver board's pins (pins 2, 3 at J118) and no +12v. Tested fuses for +12v (F115, F116), and F116 (3amp slow blow) is bad. Also, the LED next to it will not light.

Ordered fuses, but not sure why it blew in the first place. Two sensors were working perfectly. All I did was re-flow pins on the one eddy board that didn't work, put it in, and blew fuse.

What else could possibly cause the fuse to go out?

Where can I look/what can I check on the power driver board to insure things are okay?

Thanks.
