Just bought a Roadshow and want to fit it in the cade but To make it fit i have to take off the backbox and legs .The legs i get but how hard /damaging is it to do .Is it as simple as a couple of plugs and bolts or do i have to be more careful than that.I also have to stand it up on its end to get it through the turn to get into the cade.Is all this safe to do or do i need to find another room? Thanks for your input guys.PEACE!!!

You'll have to disconnect any connectors coming up from the cabinet to the boards in the backbox. Take pics, and make labels so you remember where to plug them back in! Some will fit on the wrong spot, so be careful. Disconnect the backbox from the hinges, and you can lift it right off.

It's not fun or anything, but if you're careful and do it right, you should be able to take it apart and put it back together without damaging the game.

Make sure to take the balls out before you stand it up!

Removing the back box is no easy feat by any stretch of the imagination. It down right sucks. When you disconnect a cable use a sharpie and write the connector number on it. When you have all leads uplugged from the first board rubber band them together so you know which board they go to. Wash rinse and repeat with the other boards. When you put it back together it's too easy to miss a pin or a whole row of pins. Pay careful attention to detail.

I have a very tight corner to get around in my house. However I never need to take the box box off. Are you certain that this folded won't make it through?

Sweet thanks for the advice on marking the connections thats a great tip .I will take my time and see what happens .If there is any other advice or tips let me know .PEACE!!!

Legs should be taken off during transport, IMO. As well as the backbox folded down. If you cannot just fold the back box and wheel it in on a cart, then you would need to remove the backbox. Pretty simple, I have a room with 4 pins in it that required this, there is enough slack in the cables to remove it and carry it in front of the cabinet. Otherwise abotu 18-20 connectors, blue tape makes great flags and label each connector (J121, J120) so they go back where they belong, sort of a pain but far from difficult. Good luck!

I had to take the backbox off of my '82 Mr & Mrs Pacman to get it home & I did not label the plugs. - when re-assembling, I found that if you look closely at each plug, they are keyed differently & it is impossible to put them on the wrong header pins unless you manhandle & force them on. Take it slow & LOOK at each connector & header pin configuration.
