I went to play my roadblasters and its pulling to the left. ( like a real car lol)

but seriously game was fine a couple days ago and now its got a stearing problem?

I checked connections and they seem to be fine.

Any ideas on why machine would make the car go left?

has anyone ever seen this problem?

I tried to turn it off and back on....

it seemed to work then started pulling to the left again?

weird problem came out of no where.

SO if i restart it it will work fine for a second then start pulling left again

I would first check the wiring and make sure the Molex is plugged all the way into the optical board in the steering wheel. I would then reseat the connector on the main board. If your fire buttons also do not work then that could be part of the problem.

Clean the unit making sure all the holes on the optical spinner are not cluttered with dirt/ dust. Test that when the wheel is moved right and left that the encoder disk is spinning correctly. Sometimes something is not in alignment and even though the wheel is turning the sensors in the optics are not. The Roadblasters wheel uses a big cog mounted on the wheel to move a small cog that moves the optic disc. Make sure the optic PCB has not broken away and that the disk is spinning between the sensors. Clean the sensors with some type of cleaning alcohol.

I see now what your talking about with the sensors. will try cleaning it with rubbing alchohol or screen cleaner.

I reseated all connectors and all wires look fine.

will keep you updated after i try cleaning the optical reader thing

No new news on this.

If i wait a while turn on machine it plays fine and will start going left all of a sudden

what determines the steering on this game. wheel seems to go back to start position

Anyone have any clues?

Ok issue fixed.

Took out the boards that has the optic and moved it closer to the disc . now the optic seems to see it better.

guess it was not sensing the movement of all turns.

seems to be fixed as of now
