Hey everyone. so I just replaced the Switching power supply that was bad on my project Atari Road blasters. 1st time starting it up since I owned it and everything works and powers up Except that there is no picture. I get sound, I can coin a credit and here the game playing while Im at the controls. the marque lights up. the Monitor is and chassis is a Wells Garner 19K7901. the monitor is on as I can adjust the brightness and focus and the screen will respond. the PCB board has two red lights. one toward the main harness (molex) connector that illuminates. the other red light toward the top of the board near the Monitor harness will not light up. The chassis under the monitor has 9 pins but the connector has only 6 wires on the connector that comes off of the board to the chassis.

So... does anyone have a Roadblasters that can check to see if the second red light illuminates near the top of the PCB. and what I should check or test on the board to find out my problem?

CR5 which is on the bottom of the board closest to you when you take off front door is illuminated during operation. It is right by the +5V and GRND .25" blade connecters. The other LED that you are referring to is (from what I believe) CR6 is not illuminated during play.

I have a electrohome G07 in my RB but it also has 9 pins (only6 being used) but 3 of them are stacked for lack of a better term so only 6 of them are inline while the 3 are not used. I hope that makes sense kind of like this --->

I do not really know jack about monitors as I just started collecting last year. Your best bet is to get a manual for the monitor you have and start there. I know the RB manual is online. I would start with the easiest and cheapest stuff first as it is usually something minor causing your grief. If you want me to measure voltage somewhere to check against what you have just send me a pm but be patient because I am on here kinda sporadic.

CR5 near the bottom of the mainboard is illuminated at all times, CR3 near the top may flicker during boot but will otherwise be off on RoadBlasters. Since you replaced the switching 5v supply, it's probably a good idea to check and make sure you're seeing 5v at various points on the board. There are quite a few test points provided.

When you say that the monitor responds when you adjust contrast/brightness, do you mean the screen glows a bit when you crank them up?

Edit: oops, you clearly have a picture of J108 being connected properly..

Yes the screen on the monitor will glow brighter and dimmer when adjusted. I can hear and play the game blind I just don't have any picture. But the Screen is getting power.
