Roadblasters is fun!

Yes.. my CP is brand new old stock..

Based on yours and Macfelon's pic, it strongly appears the colors are faded on mine (or there were different versions).

Oh well. The price was right and it works great.

I think it's a really fun game, I liked many of the late 80's games that Atari developed. Xybots, STUN runner and Roadblasters. Luckily we have a CP at our local Family Fun Center. Here are some shots of my daughter playing.

very awsome.. if i had the room i would have that cockpit version.. the best thing about that version is the magnification screen in front of the monitor.. it makes the 19 inch monitor look like a 25 inch...very wicked!!!

Herhseypark actually has one of these and a marble madness in their arcade to this day. It's cool! Atari was all about originality and they definitely added some cool features to the standard driver for the time.

It is addictive. Very easy to just continue (just press the pedal!) at the end. Glad it is set to free play!

Funny. But seriously you can have it for that, it's just collecting dust and I've sold my System 1 cabinet. Buy my Peter Pack Rat kit for an extra $350 and help me close out, I may even have a spare daughterboard or two for RB to throw in. And I can toss in manuals/flyers.

I don't have the pedal though come to think of it. :(

EDIT: And for some reason this thread makes me think how cool it would be to have a STUN Runner. :D

I may have a pedal if he decides he wants your kit.

The first pic of the sitdown version really brought back memories, Wow!!

I liked the game for it's unique style and atmosphere and it belongs in my top 10.

Gameplay a bit repetitive and handling so so but once you got the hang of it it was fun.

Over here roadblasters did not receive much love and was quickly moved to a lonely corner.
Think the people wanted games to have handling like OutRun and Super Hang on as these set the bar high, I know Roadblasters is a completely different game but still.

I used to play the shit out of RB when I was a kid at the campground. Great game. Since I haven't found one locally, at least the midway classics emulated version runs pretty well. Some day, Roadblasters, some day.

Also, didn't know there was a cockpit version. Wow.

Hey, ho, wow, whoa! Can you shoot me a pic of the CP and/or tell me the condition? My Sys1 isn't minty so it doesn't have to be perfect.

If I get the kit then I'll need the pedal. Whatcha want for it?
