OK, I'm trying to get a Roadblasters game working - everything seems to play OK, but I've got some graphic errors on my screen (see photos). Most of the sprites/cars have vertical stripes running through them. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? My voltage is right on.

A note that might help, I have another RB daughterboard that I could use to swap chips, ram, etc if that might help. It is also not working (displays blocky graphics, almost like a 2600 game).

Any ideas what I can try?

My first try would be to swap out the SLAGS chips, one at a time.

They're responsible for mixing together some of the graphics information before it gets clocked out to the display. I've seen several bad and they cause all kinds of graphics artifacts, but don't stop the game from running.

HELL YEAH!

Thanks dude! That worked - for the record, it was the SLAGS chips at C20 and C21 that were faulty on my board.

I really appreciate the assist on this, another Roadblasters is back on the highway! Rep for you, sir!
