Road Riot 4WD 2 player sit down. Not linking for head to head play. Any help?

hey guys i have a road riot 4wd game.. its the type where 2 people can sit in the chairs and race each other head to head, there is 2 pcb's in this with a link pcb linking both pcbs together...

when i turn them on its saying that it cant find the other machine so both sides goes into solo race mode...

anyone know how i could fix this?
i know you guys are PRO's here so hopfully someone know what i should look for to fix this or what i need

as u can see in the 1st picture is the 2 main pcb's with the dsp link pcb/board in the middle

If it comes up with errors when you run the tests then there is something wrong with one of the board. It could be the ram on the linking /comm ram board. I no longer have my Road Riot so I can't tell you much more than that.

You can always try reseating the chips and the linking PCB.
