If you have a Road Blasters, then there is a good chance that one or more of your switches have stopped working. Here is a fix for the blue handled version of the game.

The switches are Omron 3GS used in very old keyboards. But is almost impossible to find replacements.

Warning, there are very, very tiny parts involved that are spring loaded. They like to fly and are not easily replaced.

Open handles (3mm Allen Wrench), take switches out of handles. No need to desolder. Remove red caps and red plunger. Pry up tabs on each side of switch to remove the cover. Remove the white plunger. Note, there is a spring under the plunger that likes to fly. On one side, you will see a tiny piece of metal that clips onto the plastic. Use a tiny flat head screw driver and carefully pry it off. Use a quality contact cleaner and spray it into the switch and through the two holes in the top on that same side where you removed the metal. I personally used a significant amount of Deoxit. Use needle nose pliers to both squeeze the metal clip slightly so that it hugs the plastic better. Then use the pliers to slightly increase the angle of the two prongs at the bottom. Allow to dry. Reassemble and test with a multi-meter.

While you have your contact cleaner handy, spray some in the connector where the control panel plugs into the main system.

I saw this method posted somewhere on the Internet, but can no longer find it. I did it out of memory and it worked perfectly fixing two dead switches. I hope it helps you as well.
