it's been over 3 years since I asked this on here, it was my very first post, but today we'll start anew.

I have a Ridge Racer where periodically the whole screen will start flashing blue and the 3D graphics will start running very jerky, like it's 3D in the year 1994 on a Pentium 75 all over again. the funny part is that if you coin the game up and play it, it will gradually make the problem go away, like as you progress further into the track. but when it's back in attract mode, it starts flashing again.

I was told by another user on here 3 years ago (I seriously think his name was System22) to replace the Video PCB, and I did just that with something I found on ebay on the cheap. the game ran fine for the first 3 or so days we operated it on the floor again, and then yesterday it went back to tweaking out. some days it won't even be a problem at all, it works perfectly fine.

I removed and reinstalled all the roms when I did the Video board swap, so is this a heat issue (I cleaned the fans, they were pretty nasty), or a Video ROM board issue?

I ran every ROM and video test on here and they all came up good. it'll be difficult to run the game and then have to disconnect everything and slide the boards out to feel around if anything's getting super hot, any suggestions?

help me channelmanic, you're my only hope. lol
