@redfivexw did you find it difficult to plug in jamma boards or cables into the switcher?
I have the 2 way switcher and its damn near impossible to plug something into it. feels like its going to break

I tried doing it that way and it was still extremely difficult. i could barely get it on and truthfully i was afraid to push it all the way in because i dont see how i could take it off. I tried plugging in a set of extension jamma cables and that was even worse.
I'm not sure what to tell you. I'd guess I've plugged in several thousand Male Jamma boards into my switchers by now. I've never failed to insert or remove a Jamma edge connector, and haven't broken anything. I personally think my EZ Jamma gameboard interfaces are easier to grip and therefore insert/remove than the 6way Switchers' connectors. But I don't really have any issues with either.
The only other advice I can offer for a 2way, single-board switcher is to lay both the switcher and your game boards down on a workbench table when inserting so they are both aligned and fully supported by the table top. Still use the insert corner + closing the door motion.
