I finally got mine installed this past weekend and it's very high quality. I applied them 1.5" from the top, then left a 1 inch gap between the 2 side art decals. I used masking tape in both widths to get even and level spacing. I looked at several pics of the factory applied art and it always seems unbalanced, as the top decal generally sat like 2-3" from the top edge, then another 2-3" gap between the 2 decals, virtually pushing the lower, larger decal to the floor. I think bringer them closer and pushing them up helps them look more like they are working together to advertise this fine machine. The only sucky part is that the lower decals were NOS and there are storage creases on each running horizontally, then a smaller vertical crease left over from Nintendo's 2 piece backing idea. No matter how much heat or burnishing I use, these creases will not lay flat. You can't see them that well due to the sweet 80's design, but you can feel them when you run your hand over them. Oh well, still looks hot. Nice work Rich:

Here's a pic of the factory placement from Pete's PAR site. This one isn't so bad, but I'm still not liking the large gap between the 2:

BTB, does anyone have a NOS version of the marquee in that pic? I've got a NOS example of the other style, but would love to have the marquee shown in the above pic. Subsequently, does anyone have or has anyone ever actually seen the marquee from this flyer?

That would be a sweet one to have as well.

I really wish that there was 5/8" offset t-molding in red. Man that would be sweet. I do like the white better than the black, but red woulda been the shit.

Comparison shots, and did anyone ever think to mount those mini marquees to that panel below the CP? What a sweet idea. If you mounted 3 to the top, behind the marquee bracket, 3 under the CP and then mounted 3 to the bottom of the kickplate, in front of the base board, you'd be able to display the marquees of 9 of the 10 games in the machine.

Boy, tough crowd today. Here's the marquee I will be installing:

Does anyone have either of the other 2 types? Are there more variations for the single monitor version anyone would like to share?

never done / tried this, but can't you somehow color / dye the t-molding? if white plastic can magically turn yellow thorugh the years, shouldn't you be able to give it any other color you like?

btw, that cabinet looks kickass - once again. you're definitely a master of restos! :)

i need to get that logo sideart for my machine. once again phet, nice restore. here is my machine, it has the same marquee you have.

ps the cabinet was a freebie that douchka posted in the for sale forum last week.

Is it missing on the other side? The side you show looks decent enough.
i need it for when it gets the bondo and paint done on it. you can see a big vertical scrap in between the sideart about the middle of them, its kind deep. i already have the "big" sideart for it.

Has anyone else purchased or installed this side art yet? If so, post some pics. I think little repro projects like this need to be celebrated, as a year ago, these didn't even exist. Jow, you should post a pic of your old machine, as that was the nicest factory original one I have ever seen. One question for dedicated SM PC-10 owners. Where on these cabs does the timer go? Upper right side above the monitor?

The timer is in the upper right corner of the bezel. Mine is a DK conversion, but it's the same.
