I have the RGB to TV Converter seen here:

http://www.arcadespareparts.com/arcade_parts/video_converter/rgb_to_tv_converter/12217.html

I have it hooked up to my GT 2005.

I tried it with a 27" CRT TV and it was black and white with sync problems. I tried it on both PAL and NTSC as well as through the S-Video and Composite outputs. I then tried it on an LCD television. The syncing was better and I could actually see an image, but there was never any color and the image was shaky. I couldn't read any of the start-up text either.

Any ideas? (besides buying an arcade monitor)

I see it requires 5 volts at 2 Amps, which is a hefty adapter if you are using a wall unit.
My guess is this is intended to be run off the video games 5 volt supply since I see you can buy a power cable..
It is possible you got a defective unit.

I have it hooked up to the spare cd rom power plug. I measured the plug and it is putting out 5.03 vdc. Maybe the amps are incorrect?

Should be ok... have you tried tweaking the trimmers near the crystals?
N-OPT for NTSC
I assume you adjusted the color levels to no avail.

The cable is s-video to s-video. I even tried an RCA cable and still didn't get color.

Thanks

It turns out the power at the converter board was exactly 5.00 VDC. I was originally measuring the voltage directly at the cd-rom connector which read 5.03 VDC. I turned it up to about 5.08 VDC and I now get color. Now I just need to figure out a way to wire up some speakers. I'll search the forum.

Thanks
