revolving playfield and drop target questions on a gottlieb lights camera action

hello
ive had alot of luck with people helping me so far and fixed 2 of my games using that advic so here goes a question for you guys........
i found a lights camera action pinball at a auction last year, and the drop targets will not reset DURING the ball if you knock them all down, but at the end of the ball they will all pop back up like normal........im thinking that if your lucky enough to hit them all down they should pop back up again during the same ball (im talking about the ones on the right side of the playfield)
also.....when i start a game on the machine the small revolving ramp/playfield motor makes a noise like it is turning......its not a loud "broken" type of noise, but it makes a noise like it is always running. then it will actually turn over when it is supposed to. is this always running noise normal (if your familiar with this game) or not?
thanks in advance for any help

I believe when a new ball starts it resets all drop targets but during play if it doesn't see that they are all down it will not.I would get it in switch test and drop them down one at a time and see if they register..If not, clean and adjust the switches for them.
That is funny you ask about the motor,i got mine earlier this year and drove myself crazy trying to figure the motor out..It does run anytime the game is in play, there is a small drum like clutch assembly between the motor and the ramp that allows the motor to run with slight friction, when the solenoid fires for the ramp to turn it allows the ramp to turn until it hits the stop again.
I didn't find this documented anywhere, i just finally came to the conclusion that this is how it is.If i'm wrong, then there will be two of us fixing this haha.

i will have to try a switch test here soon. the game is located in my garage and i gotta move it because it wont fit inside with the light box on top. ya i was curious about the motor with it always running and isee they are alot of money to replace
