Where does the sound pot go on this board set? I am used to other Midway board where the sound pot is directly connected to the sound board. Thanks in advance.

It's controlled via the test menu and the coin door buttons which are linked to connector P10 on the main board (pins 2 and 3).

Rev X has a seperate sound board that is known to fail and as I understand it no current way to repair it without replacing the soundboard with a known good one.

So, the sound should come out of the JAMMA harness as long as the volume is set correctly in the test menu.

Correct, there should be sound to the speakers. The manual mentioned checking connection at pins L and 10 at the jamma connector, volume setting, check for 12vdc at pins F and 6, as well as the fuse on the sound board. (located under P3 (2a slow blow 5x20mm)) (interesting that there's a fuse built into the sound board)

here's a link to the manual (not sure if you have it): http://tamdb.net/index.php?page=ManualDetail&id=3365

Edit: did you check the fuse? funny i've never seen a fuse on a 90's midway soundboard this is my first.

Correct, funny enough it's called an X-Unit, it's definitely unique and the only one of it's kind, the soundboard is similar to a MK2 soundboard, and the main looks kinda like a wolf unit.

I've never seen a Revolution X setup, but if you ever saw T2, it actually used headers on the sound board to connect the driver board. and there were lots of fuses in that game lol

Dude, I told you this when we tested the board. I even read through the manual just to be sure I was correct.

You better start taking what I tell you as the gospel truth or I'm gonna stop working on your stuff. :p
