Revolution X Multi?

The only games that I can think of that work in the cab are T2 and Revolution X(if you just have the 2P version). You can't get most light gun games to work with those guns because they are just like joysticks/joystick type and not true light guns.

Also personally I don't get why people want to multi everything(just find an old PC and run mame that way)...If I had a 3P Revolution X I'd be a happy camper but it's something on my back burner.

Pretty much what darkcat said. The guns have X & Y potentiometers in them that tells the game where the gun is pointing, very different from light gun games. There may be other JAMMA gun games that have the same concept of technology (Operation Wolf comes to mind), but I believe T2 would be the only other game that could plug & play in a Rev X without any wiring hacks. You would also be missing some extra effects that a dedicated T2 would have (mainly flashing LED lamps behind the mirror which respond to gunfire and hits).

What you could do though is plug in any JAMMA light gun game and invest in a set of light guns to hook up to those boards. You may need to reverse your yoke wires going to the monitor chassis though. Depends on if your Rev X is currently set up for an inverted screen via dip settings or if the monitor is already inverted for the mirror in the cabinet.

As far as a JAMMA multiboard, I'm not sure one exists for gun games. As runaway said, You'd likely have to have a MAME setup for that, which can be quite pricey once you get all the equipment to plug & play in your machine. Pretty sure I have seen one set up like that on YouTube somewhere some time ago.

I saw one here/on youtube and another on reddit.

Also:
T2 doesn't just "drop" into RevX. Yes, the guns are the same. Yes the jamma connector is the same. But the sound board and recoil boards are NOT the same (not even close).

Can you do it with several wiring mods? I think so. Just could check the coil voltages from the transformer.

I use RevX guns on my T2 PCBs as they are MUCH cheaper than T2 guns. I am also using an Operation Thunderbolt transformer to power the coil. OT guns do work on T2, but the recoil voltage seems to be too low to run the recoil in them as the recoil PCB seems to drop the voltage down.

The only "jamma swapable" positional gun games I know of are Operation Thunderbolt and Space Gun. I heard a rumor about Mech Attack and Beast Busters, but having Mech Attack, I'm 99% Beast Busters won't go into it. So, I think that is a one way swap (BB takes MA, but MA can't also take BB).

The "standard happ 45 light gun" games are much more jamma swap-able friendly.
