can someone tell me how to setup the yoke wires on a vision pro to flip the image? i just tried myself and smoked r410 and have no vertical deflection....

You have to swap the yoke wires....red and blue can be swapped........green and yellow can be swapped. What did you do? If you swapped the wrong ones (say red and green).....you probably did a lot of damage.

yeah. i swapped blue and yellow,if i remember correctly. hopefully didn't do too much damage. looks like i killed the vertical output IC from what i'm getting told.

Ouch!! Changes are the vert. ic is toast at the minimum.

Here's my rule of thumb on yokes, that so far has proven to be true: Horizontal is ALWAYS red and blue. Vertical - any other two colors. Anything. Yellow/Green, Brown and Yellow, who knows, but just know that red and blue are horizontal, so the other two are vertical.

Hope you can get it fixed up!

You just sent some serious juice down the vertical deflection circuit. The potential is there for a lot of damage.

This is for YOU to write down before you encounter a G07:

Horizontal - red and white
Vertical - brown and gray

Also, the order is different -> red - empty - brown - white - gray

....

as far as the fix, for future knowledge and help for others, it was IC302, the NTE1773/LA7833 vertical deflection/output IC. i didn't see it looking at the chassis, but when i pulled the old one out it was fried and had a nice little hole in the center. i also replaced the 3906 and 3904 transistors as well in case i fried those.

and, on a vision pro, red and blue are horizontal for the yoke, yellow and orange are the vert. there is a reversed solder point on the chassis you can solder the chassis side connector to that flips the monitor in both directions, but being that i already had the horizontal correct i only needed to switch the vert. and that took care of it.
