I have a Revenge From Mars pinball machine. The problem is when I turn it on, it takes like 20 minutes til I start to see the monitor! Then another ten minutes for it to be bright enough...
Anyone have any idea what could cause this? Is it the monitor? The flyback? The computer?
Or what i could possibly do to fix it? Or find out the problem?
Thanks

This setup

Is going to be hard.

It is hard to get to and troubleshoot
And short wires to chassis.

When it's working tap on the chassis

To see if it goes out..

I would suspect bad caps

If so I would pull chassis or monitor

Reflow it.

Also replace the caps..

Just mark down the locations and values

Of the caps.

You want to do as much to the chassis

Before you put it back in.

Good luck!

I think these have the later model K7000 in them (K7302?). If it hasn't been capped you should pull it and cap it. Also many people put video amp in these. Mine has one and without the amp the image is very dim. Also try adjusting brightness & contrast on the remote board and also screen control on the flyback. Have fun as mentioned things are packed in there pretty tightly.

It is not a K7000, it is a duckscan, so you cant adjust anything until about a half hour and then everything works and looks great

Not the computer..

If you have already done a cap kit I would say flyback

I had the exact same problem with my RFM.

I looked for about a month until I found a used flyback for my Ducksan.

No one makes them.

If it helps the 13" and 19" ducksan uses the same flyback so a CGM-1301 flyback is the same.

It cured my problem,

BTW the video amp I put in made a big difference as well.
