Well after tearing up my arcade hauler real good and having to be towed back home on Friday, I started to wonder if someone was trying to tell me something...Fate be damned, I headed back Saturday to pick up what is pretty much my pinball "grail" Revenge From Mars.
I played this game about 4 months ago as I bought another game from the owner and joked that he needed to sell it to me. Fast forward 4 months and now it made the always-fun trip down the basement steps in to the South Lake Arcade..Game is in VERY good shape and the monitor is crisp and the only thing I can see is a weak flipper(already fixed sorta) and I need to replace the fan/power supply as they are original and LOUD...This does it for me for the year, as I have bought 3 pins in 6 months, and I only have a few more games that I am chasing, and my wife's patient, understanding nature is definitely being stretched thin:)...Slightly Blurry Pics below, I also posted the arcade sign that I made for my arcade...

Awesome! It's a great game, we love ours.

I bet you could improve the display in your game by adjusting the contrast down and maybe bumping the brightness up a bit. That might get rid of the black looking kind of blueish gray I see in the pics.

On my game the black is pretty much invisible with only the game images showing up.

Enjoy your game!

Congrats! I would love to finally get to play one of the pin2k's.

Thanks for the advice, I haven't really started messing with it, so it helps to have someone with a trained eye for what to do to improve it. Been too busy/excited playing it;). Thanks again!

Excellent game. One of my favorites and IMO, one of the best values in all of pinball. Why this game isn't in the top 5 best pinballs of all time is beyond me. It's really a great game with lots of things to do and brilliant design.

I was ready to say the same thing. Great game, I picked mine up a year ago, always loved the game and was glad to give it a homecoming.

Great game, I just picked one myself. Of course mine is already in pieces since it needs work to be anywhere near as nice as yours. Seeing yours makes me want mine done NOW. - Barry

The way I look at that is you got a smokin deal on 2 pins for you and a friend, so it may be some work, but your machine I am sure is gonna be awesome as well. That's the great thing about this hobby, there are so many paths that lead to "pinball bliss":). Congrats on your pickup and I am sure you will have it going in no time!

I played Tom's machine recently, and it actually got me excited about pinball for the first time in a long time. It is just a really fun game; actually, it might be my new favorite pin now. I fired up my High Speed the other day for the first time in months, and while still fun, Revenge From Mars has way more going on. I have always liked vids more than pins, so it is probably the inclusion of the monitor that pushes it over the edge for me.

Nice addition!

Thanks everyone for all the props and thanks Spacewar for the monitor tip. One small adjustment and it looks great! Did anybody else replace their CPU fan and power supply after getting theirs? I also took the lid off of the computer case as it is protected by the translight and it seems like it would be just cooking in there as the case has no real holes/ventilation. Just waiting on some parts from Pinballlife, and I will be good to go!

I've read that the power supply they used was crap. Mine functions, but I'm going to replace it and the cpu fan. I found a link to use a standard atx power supply so I can get that locally. - Barry
