*** SOLD *** Returned 60 in 1's

*** SOLD ***&
I just had two 60 in1 boards come back in for no VGA out - I opened the box and tested them.

#1 worked right off of the bat.
#2 I moved the Dip Switch several times and it started working ok.

The Good - Both are tested and good
The Bad - No Warranty
The Ugly - $45 Shipped -- Not much less than in the store, but hey... its a price break and the boards were violated by a previous owner :)

On a side note - The 60 in 1 boards have been coming with a crappy dip switch or crap under the dip switch. I will investigate later today.

Some boards have will not send VGA out but will send CGA out while in VGA mode. I had one board do both at the same time :)

If you get a board and it has no VGA - slide the switch back and forth and then try it. You don't have to go King Kong on it - just move it.

Just a FYI I go two from you two that won't work right on the newer LCD's but when I hooked up a 48-1 it was 100%. Not sure what's going on at the factory. something witht he work there I'm assuming. I'll try the dip switch on them and see if there's a change at all. It issue was it wouldn't center on the screen no matter what adjustment i tried.

that happens with certain lcds,,,
SAME PCB 3 DIFF SIZES SAME BRAND
the 15" wont fo full screen but fine on the 17" and 19"
they are made more cheaply than the 48/1 and i have had the dip issues with them lately as well..
i just turned it on and off (switch 2) a few times and it was fine ;)
i did have 1 that didnt have the 2nd button workin tho awhile back...very wierd

Try dead shorting (jumping) the pins on the solder side then booting the board.

Let me know if that changes it. I will talk with the supplier to see whats up.

60 boards

This last batch (not complaining about any seller, the price is right on these no matter what) of these were problematic. I found that I had a board that would not work with an Acer lcd monitor at all, it would just come up no signal, then I put a HannG to it and it fired right up with changing anything. Not even a dip switch. Did this several times with same result, my fix was using a VGA converter and running the cga signal. Once I did that the Acer accpted the converted signal from the board. THe other advantage was that I had better screen adjustment controls witht the convertor board. The bad is it was another 30 bucks to make it work. But again all things said the overall price is still great. THere is no doubt once again in the lust to make the product cheaper the manufacturer cut too many corners. I would take a solid reliable board at 75 any day over a 50 will it work mystery.

Issues

my fix was using a VGA converter and running the cga signal.

If that was one of mt boards let me know - we can do an exchange

As with any of these boards if there are issues let the seller know. They will take care of it.

I have documented the issue here.

The next one I find I will take apart to see what the issue might be.

Update

The boards work as they should, they were just not making contact within the Dip Switch for the VGA out Setting.

I tested another 20 boards or so and found 4 more.

I found that moving the dip switch back and forth 1 or 2 times while pulling up on it slightly with needle nosed pliers made something within "Right" and fixed the issue.

So..... If anyone else is having the VGA Out issue then do the pull up, slide back and forth thing and it should fix your issue.

just had a board do it again I'll try the switch up and down and see if that's the issue. I swapped in a different 60-1 from a different lot and it worked great. I'll let you know.
