Man... you can tell a lot of love went into these! Thanks for the link, excellent find.

Very cool!

How awesome would it be to be able to play these versions in our cabinets, in addition to the original, of course.

Wont play on my computer.

"The program can't start because d3drm.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"

Now that´s pretty awesome :)

Though I feel the creator went a bit overboard when it comes to the backgrounds in Phoenix, even though they´re very beautyful.
Only black space and stars would make it easier to see the enemys.

This is going into one of my MAME cabs tonight :)

Star Wars got a few graphical glitches but plays very good and I´m looking forward to coming versions and fixes.

Well, I played 3 games thus far... Star Wars is OK... ESB is a little better but still merely OK... Phoenix is fun.

http://www.d3drmdll.com

"The D3DRM.DLL file is the Dynamic Link Library for Direct3D Retained Mode, an older DirectX display technology that was not included with Windows Vista."

You can add it though.

I've had the Star Wars for atleast a year. Plays good. I really enjoy entering the trench. I'll have to try the ESB. I've been too lazy to copy them to my MAME/ Star Wars cab. I really should so I can try it with a yoke.

Thanks for the post Friz.
FYI - anyone running an ATI card, go into the catalyst - 3D section - click on AI tab and either move the slide bar to standard or select check for "disable Catalyst AI". That option will cause the game to crawl.

The missing dll (d3drm.dll) can either be added to your windows\system32 directory or drop it into the folder where the games EXE file resides. This must be done on a per game folder basis.

"Classic gaming for the next generation"? Are they trying to rid of the classic games original feel? Part of the reason I loved old game is because of the 8-bit graphics and vectors!

Anyone get the minionsoft version of Defender to run full screen?
