Just bought an original Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition with a yellowed control panel (which should be speckled grey). Is it safe to use Retr0brite on a printed surface like this? Has anyone here done that? Thanks.

I haven't tried retrobrite on anything yet but it should be safe..... (use with caution).

just checking but you sure you don't have a SF2 CE Yellow Label edition?

I've seen retrobrite used on a bunch of things via the net, i guess you'll have to try to find out. i would check it often tho, and definitely don't use it if the overlay is an absorbent material.

A picture would help.

If the paint is silkscreened on the plastic - retr0bright should work.
Just be careful to use the solutions with the smaller amount of H202 (peroxide) as the heaver percentages can oxidize the paint (turn it white). I've seen this on some popbumper caps I was "testing on".

I used the heavy (30%) H202 on my Star Trek panels... but the sides are vynil printed.
