Wizard of Wor: As usual, next to nobody played WoW.

Pac-Man: I currently have a 48-in-1 in my Pac cab -- with only Ms. Pac, regular Pac, Jr. Pac and Pac Plus running. This machine was pretty popular.

Toobin': Other than myself, nobody played this game. It's like no one could be bothered to even try it.

OutRun: A consistently popular game. There was a whole lotta driving going on.

Dig Dug: Moderately popular. It didn't get worn out, but it didn't collect cobwebs either.

60-in-1: Same as above.

Mortal Kombat II: For some reason, MKII was FAR more popular this year than in previous years. It saw a great amount of action.

Space Invaders: Only received a few plays -- probably less than 5.

Donkey Kong: There was about three of us who played it a good bit, but most everyone stayed away from it.

NEO-GEO: Did very well, with Metal Slug 3 and Bust-a-Move being the big hitters.

Tron: Every time we throw a party, I'm surprised at how little interest there is in Tron, and this time was no different. Other than myself and one fellow who played it a couple of times, it was ignored.

And BY FAR, the big hitters of the collection were my Freddy and Frankenstein pins. The party went on for about 5 hours, and those machines had pretty much no downtime at all. In fact, it's the only time I can recall any of my games having a "line" of people waiting to play them.

It's funny, but I'm seeing pins become more and more popular.

I think it's because people have become so jaded by the hyper-realism of video games in general, oftentimes at the expense of gameplay. I would imagine if I grew up in the post SNES/Sega era, a pinball machine would be a pretty exotic beast at this point.

I'm not surprised by the low Tron play. I know a ton of people here love this game, but IMO it's pretty lame. With the others you had going, there were way more interesting choices.

Think about it. Most people have some sort of newer game system at their house, plus a computer so video games are a norm.

Now how many people have a pinball machine in their house? If you were pinball-less, what would you play? Exactly.
