restring a rainbow crane?

Can anyone tell me how to get the string into the spool? it seems
like it has to go into the bottom of the spool (into a hole?) then comes
out the side?

I cant figure how to get it into that hole to get it strung?

any help appreciate

Yep - string through the bottom and it comes out through the side (tie small knot in string and gently pull down to seat it between the spool and motor drive shaft).

Easiest way that I found is to use a lighter to slightly melt about 1.5 inch of the string to slightly stiffen it and use a small thin paper clip to push while twisting the string through the hole. Grab it with a small pair of needle nose pliers or forceps.

I just did this recently. Used a piece of wire to help guide the string up in the unit around that inner pulley that goes down to the nylon hole.
When you turn the game on it will wind itself onto the bigger pulley.
