I have a Universal thats a Golden Axe at the moment how are is it going too be too convert it back?

Seems like the black paint is just flacking off the machine.

What do you plan to convert it to Brian? I am not really familiar with Universal cabs but as long as you can find the side art (applique or stencils, whatever it uses) it shouldn't be a big problem to deconvert the cab.

Remember me if you are ever looking to get rid of the Golden Axe stuff...

restore

Hey Oz!

I really don'nt know yet Not seeing alot of parts anywhere on ebay or here for that matter.

I would like too turn it back into what it used too be .. But i might run into the wiring problem that i have with the Scramble .

Well, if it was converted to a Sega System 16 for the Golden Axe it will need some amount of rewiring. If you are looking for a true restoration you will need to part all of the Universal boards and either find a harness or build one yourself. I'll look up a schematic for 'Ladybug' and see what I find...

Well, the 'Lady Bug' info was hard to find so I went with 'Mr Do'. It looks like they have a dedicated power supply board and sound amplifier board in addition to the main PCB. It may be easier to just wire up an adaptor to make the board work with the cabinet's current wiring...

rewiring

Yep thats what i was affaid of all the rewiring . If i remember right looking inside the machine it did'nt look like your normail Jamma Machine.

If there a way it was running on the old Wiring and PS? I will need too look inside of it been a Number of years since i opened it up and looked into the back of the machine.

It is possible that the conversion was done with just an adaptor harness but that is pretty unlikely. Post picks if you are not sure and we'll help you out.
