I bought a Q*bert from a local arcade that had been converted to Archnoid. I have aquired all of the parts to put the Q*bert back to orginal. I have the boards, marquee, power supply, wiring harness, and even the knocker.

I have seen from many forums on here that a lot of members have struggled with restoring Q*berts? I see everything from Speach problems, to knocker problems, and voltage power supply issues.

I am going to start putting it back together today so thought i would ask for any tips or suggestions before i start?

Thanks,

Braido...

Refolw the pins on the filter board if this has not been done yet as this board often causes issues. Personally I would rebuild the power brick if it has not bee done. Check voltages before plugging in boards and search the net if no one chimes in on the specifics of this but, all of the connectors except one plug in in one direction. There is a single connector that when plugged in correctly looks like it's plugged in backwards. If you connect this wrong you will likely cause damage to your game. That's all I can think of up until you have it put together and see if there are any issues.

If you are stripping the cab bare and repainting you will want to use oil based primer and paint as q bert cabs are prone to absorbing moisture and swelling.

Thanks p1899m,

Does anyone have any pictures of the inside of the cabinet for the board placements?
