Restoring Coin Doors, Marquee Brackets, and Control Panels

I guess that any coin door is salvageable if you put enough work into it, but I was wondering if the one below is worth it.

Shipping coin doors out to have powder coating done, which is not available in my area, is too cost prohibitive from what I can tell. This is why I'm considering painting them.

Even though I have three sets of coin doors/marquee brackets/control panels that could use powder coating, with the number of scratches and dents, as well as the other parts I'll need to find for the front of the coin doors, I'm not sure that anything outside of looking for different ones would be plausible anyway, provided the paint jobs don't come out well.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I found a powdercoater that did a pretty good job near me. I took in a Pac Control panel, coin door, and upper/lower marquee brackets, and they did the whole lot for $25. It would have cost me WAY more than that in materials and time to get it done.

No powdercoaters near you?

I wish there was a good powdercoater near me. The cheapest I could find for a tiny cocktail 1 slot door was $50! :wow:!
I used some Rustoleum 2-in-1 paint and primer for the coin doors... never again. I sanded down most of the Ms. Pac door to bare metal and sprayed even coats, but half turned out textured and matte but the other glossy and shiny. Everything starts out all bubbly. The Galaxian coin door turned out ok though.
