Restored DK for $450 OBO and nobodys biting...

Someone started a thread recently looking for games near Kansas...

It's still an original game, the joystick is the only part I dont like. My DK also came with an aftermarket joystick, side art and t-molding and it only cost me around $10 to put an original joystick back in. Mines also been painted, this one seems to have the original finish on it in good condition. Its worth no less IMO than if it had original parts in nice (but unrestored) condition.

$350 crate and ship dosent sound bad either (although it says UPS Ground so its probably actual freight charges), but my point is theres plenty of locals in the area, and this has been listed for awhile now.

Has anyone inquired on this game?

Two things...1) No one around him wants it for that price or a price he's willing to sell it for. 2) Anyone not local who would buy it doesn't want to pay an extra $350 for it to be shipped.

It's all about timing with ebay anyway. If he keeps listing it at that price or slightly lower eventually it will sell.I think if he relisted it at $299 I bet he would end up getting close to $450 since people often get caught up in bidding wars.

well alot of the game is non oem right doesn't this turn away dedicted buyers? plus $350 for pallet shipping isnt this a bit high?

That is a bit high, I had my GT2005(350lbs) shipped from PA for about $350 palletized, Donkey Kong comes in around 220lbs, it should be cheaper from any shipping company.
