Restoration? Where to purchase black adhesive vinyl for arcade games?

I have several games with paint issues and was looking at other restorations people have done and it looks like black vinyl would solve my problem without the use of paint. Can anyone recommend a site with good prices on this stuff and something they have used effectively? I found some on ebay autos but it looks too smooth and glossy for the front of an arcade game.

Thanks,
Wick

I got the black on this cab from Rikitiki, aka Rich from Thisoldgame.com:

It is thin, and has a satin finish. Even with vinyl, you will need to properly prepare (paint or seal) the surface the vinyl adheres to. I got the red for this DK3 from the same place:

It is screened and glossier. Happ also sells a very nice textured black vinyl that is easy to work with and hides flaws.

Vendor's Exchange (page 267 of their catalog) is a good source for all types of vinyl if you are doing a couple of games. Buy a roll and you'll be set for a long time (or sell the remainder to others). Call them to confirm pricing. I've found that they sometimes give better prices over the phone than those listed in the catalog.

Thanks for all the info. I ordered my vinyl through Richard at thisoldgame and hope my cabs look as nice as the ones posted above after I am done!

Does anyone know where to buy

fake laminated wood vinyl ?

for a Asteroids caberet
mine is flaking & peeling away
thanks!!!:)

If anyone has any extra scraps of the black vinyl, I'll buy it off you. I just need a couple strips a few inches wide to do some patch up work.

Anyone have this?

How do you guys get the edges so smooth? What do you use to cut it? Do you stick it on first and then use a blade to trim it? I'm thinking about going this route, but I'd like to know how it's done before I commit.

Thanks in advance!

A lot of people (me included) leave a small overlap and tuck it under the t-molding.
