We now have an expanded Restoration section. It is intended for restoration discussion regarding ANY kind of machine. If a post is only applicable to videogames than there is quite possibly a good chance that it doesn't belong in these section.
This Restoration section consists of two forums sections, one being a sub-forum of the other:
The first and main section is for all discussion, questions, suggestions, and FAQs about cosmetic and cabinet restoration. Showcasing threads should go in the gallery forum. Wanted posts (ie: Wanted - XYZ sideart) should go in the "Trading Post - Videogame and Pinball - Wanted" section, not here.
The second, Restoration Gallery, is for showcasing your restoration projects, either in various stages of progress, or with before/after photos. No general restoration questions should be posted a new thread in this forum. Questions within and directly related to a thread can be posted (and of course, so can compliments, etc.).
If in doubt as to whether you should post a question in the first (Restoration) or second (Restoration Gallery) sections, posting it in the first is generally a good idea.
Guidelines for the Gallery section may be lengthened as needed. The game or machine name should appear in the title of the post. Regarding posts reported to the moderators, weight will be given to the originator of a thread. That is, if a thread originator reports a post within his/her thread and asks for its removal, a moderator will make up their own mind. However, if there is no clear cut decision, the moderator will usually rule in favor of the thread's owner while in other forums the moderator will often do nothing if a specific course of action isn't simple.
