I picked up a curbside Frogger a while back, monitor issues, ok cosmetics, totally original. I fixed the monitor, then restored it the way i have always thought Frogger should be....... I figured it wasnt a rare game, so i kinda went my own way on the renovation..... This is the before picture, after pic to follow.......

And this is the after picture, I used a Behr Disney flourescent green, and laquer black mainly. New Control Panel Overlay, new Bezel, and new Side Art. I put blue T molding to set it off. Polished up all the metal work, added a Free Play button, installed casters, new locks, etc. It actually glows in my black lights. Other picture is the Arcade............ Hope you guys dont hate that I "ruined" its originality......

I think it looks great.

There's one more modification from the original that you should make, if you haven't already: a power switch! :D

Yep looks awesome. I don't even remember what they looked like in the wild so this would be cool with me. I mean I know what they look like due to KLOV and the flyer archive, etc, but if not for those modern sources, I never woulda remembered or cared. Yours looks better than the original.

Holy Deja Vu Batman! I was SOOOOO thinking of this exact thing today! I saw a pic of a Frogger and thought to myself, man that's boring. I know some had side art, but they were still boring. Then I thought of my hand held game when I was little and how that would look as a full size game. Now I know! I think it's a great idea. Can't do this with many games, but I think you pulled it off on this one. Awesome!

Looks AWESOME

And it's how you like it anyway, as long as your happy. Will only be an issue if you wanted to sell it (well if they want original)

That looks SWEET! Not a huge fan of the blue t-molding but the rest looks amazing. How do you think it would look if you continued the tire mark all the way down the cabinet? Attached a quick n dirty photoshop mockup.

That tire track idea is awesome, I still have the original bezel, I might take it to my sign shop and see if he could print a strip or it on vinyl or something. Thanks for the idea, I now claim it is mine!!!!!!

i would pain the front panel grey and add the tire track to the front.
and poss also put frogger right under the coin door like the car just missed him.

Or even better (if you dont have kids) make it where frogger is squished under the tire track on the front panel.

I love what you did to the sides
looks awesome.

dang that coin door needs to be smaller or have the graphic be part on the door (coin door painted grey) and the rest on the front panel.

i have too many ideas on this one.

i nearly finished my gremlin/sega cab,its got moon cresta kit and its in the light grey cab.i just filled the usual wear and tear that cabs get with p38 filler, sanded it,primed and sanded it with zinsser and rolled a few coats of light grey paint i mixed from a tin of white satin with some black satin added.

so i got to say that painting a cab that has laminate on can actualy turn out pretty good, you let your imagination run wild and stick a roller and a tin of paint in front of someone and its amazing what the results can be,that said it could soo easily go horribly wrong.

your cab will either be liked or not, depends on a persons taste but,if i could have laminated my cab again i would have if i had the monies, its there for the future, its called fundamental laminate, its just the top laminate coating with the colour, not the backing.

anyways a pic of mine,i love these cabs shape and build quality.would not say no to another one at all!

my phoenix is pretty beat up, I was thinking of painting it blue... but thats WAAAYY down the road.

That looks great. I've been trying to figure out what to do with mine. The cab was so bad and broken I had to build a new one. Couldn't justify Arcadeshop's price for the woodgrain contact paper, so I haven't done anything yet. This gives me some good ideas.
