I picked up a dual monitor PC-10 and unfortunately the chassis were covered in mouse urine. The damage is so extensive that it started to eat away at the ceramic coating of the resistors. I have the locations of the resistors that I need to swap out, and schematic here, but was a bit confused by the way they are presented on the schematic.

For example, R463 states that it's a, "2R, 10K" resistor and R70 states that it's an "1R 1K". I understand what the R and 10K and 1K denote, but I am confused by the first number. Are those just the watts?

The schematic states, "The first number is the power rating as to 1/4 F-Type resistors resistance values alone are given."

Many thanks!

The first number is the power rating.
A 1R resistor is a 1 Watt type R; 2R is a 2 Watt type R.

Thank you, that is what I thought, That whatever about 1/4 value blah, blah blah had me wondering if they were fractions of a value.
Yes, not very clear. Basically, all resistors not labeled otherwise are 1/4W.
Even more fun with the European electronics. Resistors are drawn as rectangles. The resistance is labeled outside the box. The wattage is inside the box. No symbol = 1/4W, a dash is 1/2W, the 1-30W are in Roman numerals (I, II, III, , XXX). See, there really was a reason to learn those in school!
Enjoy this great hobby of electronics repair and keep learning.
