Hello everyone,
I wanted to introduce myself a bit more formally,
I'm a stereographer/Holographer, 3d nerddd extraordinarre and I'm an academic researcher.. I authored my first whitepaper on the history of 3d video game technology for the
consumer market back in 2017 and I am only now attempting to approach the commercial side- and I am lucky that this board exists.
I don't think I've ever come across a culture with a more solidly shared set cultural values, or any community more committed to upholding them. You have an extraordinary culture... Its what makes this board such an incredibly valuable resource..
I have a list of mandatory arcades I need to confirm and i need to be smart about it- I'm making a trip to galloping ghost as they have a good handful I am already aware of and NEED to see/play/id/categorize (dark planet alone warrants a trip) and I will be searching out Kasco collections after that.
Please post up any arcades I should look into, video games, electronic games, electro mechanical, your experiences with them, any type of specialty display that may have left an impression, even arcades touted as some big thing in 3d that left you flat. Anything you'd like to comment related to the topic I'll appreciate.
And ps, if you know your display tech like you do your electronics or properties and behaviors of light (like IDing a pepers ghost display, or knowing the diff between a real image formed by a parabolic mirror and a hologram) shoot me a dm.
I'm just BEGINING to learn your language btw, I certainly didn't know what a flyback was, or knew anything about troubleshooting 8 days ago

thank you
