I finally got the parts to hook up the helicopter, everything works, except I don't think the wire loom is positioned correctly as the helicopter does not end up in the right position. It moves around the playfield, but it does not twist as it should. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to setup the wire loom and maybe post some pics? Thanks guys.

Never really seen much info at all about Rescue 911 unfortunately. Not a very commonly seen game.

Wish I could help, but no idea how any of it is even hooked up.

That's the thing, its not a connection type of thing. Everything works fine that should, I think it is how the wire loom is zip tied to the shaft, that's all that controls which way the helicopter is facing.

Realizing its the friction wheel that turns the helicopter...not the position of the wire, I noticed the friction wheel skipping. I know I should replace it, which I am going to, but I am curious if there is a way to rough up the friction wheel so maybe it regains some of its traction. Anyone think sandpaper would be an issue, just to rough it up a bit?

Shouldn't be a problem at all, but I'd test it first to make sure the material will hold together enough and not fall apart due to age. The direction you sand will matter too, so go perpendicular to the direction of rotation, will add more traction.

May also be able to get away with cleaning it too. Use just soap and water, not alcohol.
