I am in the midst of my Pac-Man restoration and could use a bit of advice.

I have an original Pacman PCB that needs a bit of work so I have decided to install a 60-in-1 in the Pac cab in the interim. I may decide to continue using the 60-in-1 as it is the cheapest complete multi-pac around...still undecided on that one...

I purchased an original Pac-Man control panel that was already drilled for 4 additional buttons as seen here:

So my question is...which of the following button layouts would you go with?

Or should I just bondo the 4 additional holes and wire up P1 and P2 as the two fire buttons for use with the 60-in-1 games that utilize them?

Personally, I would use the P1/P2 button if you are going to put a Pacman PCB in there.

Yeah...the more I think about it, the more I'm leaning toward that route. The only thought I had about the single button config is I could use it as a rack advance button, but that would be better suited somewhere out of sight for casual players in the family that might want to play a game.

Looks like I'll be undergoing a nice bondo session in the next day or two :D

I'll still take suggestions on what the rest of you would do in this situation though...who knows...maybe I'll be swayed in a different direction ;)

I'd put in a 3rd button in the middle, offset half the length upward. But that's just because I like me some Gun.Smoke.
