Hello....

I've got a Sega Out Run Mini. The monitor is slightly dim in the upper-right corner.

I assume that it's time for a monitor board re-cap....

Can anyone please make some suggestion of people who are experienced & trustworthy?

Thank you and best regards,

Patrick

"Slightly dim in upper right hand corner"

Have you pulled the glass off and tried cleaning the actual face of the tube? You'd be amazed at how much dust/gunk can build up (and not look obvious)....and make the picture look "dim".

I do monitor work too (depending on the monitor). I agree with others - find someone close to you if possible.

Though your symptom (dim in the corner) sounds more like a gaussing issue than a cap issue. I'd try manually degaussing first. Did you recently move the game, or did this come on suddenly?

Hello...

I'm located in Southeast Michigan/ Metro-Detroit.

Since the day I got this game (6 years ago) the monitor had this issue. But since I've had this game, I've moved it about 4-5 times.

I did try to clean everything, monitor, monitor bezel and so forth but to no avail, but thank you for the suggestion.

Can someone make a suggestion for degaussing the monitor?

What's the going rate to recap a monitor board?

degause

If you dont have a degauser try a transformer or anything that puts out a magnetic field.
Start in the middle of screen(monitor on) go in tight circles and work your way out. Keep trying this again and again.
Is there a speaker that is to close to the monitor? Anything magnetic close to the tube will mess with the tube

Can you post a screen shot? From a screen shot, most of us could tell you if it's a degaussing issue or not?
