Man, if this were local, I'd really have to consider selling off some of my games and pulling the trigger on a cockpit. The price seems very fair considering all the work involved.

Hey guys,

You beat me to the punch. LOL

I'll be posting about these soon. So much progress has been made with the parts for the SW cockpit (and upright), it's gonna flip your lids!! Especially with the *ahem* brand new Amplifone vector monitors. Yeah, brand new, bay-bee!

BTW, I pulled in help (2 locals and 1 NorCal guys) to get the yokes assembled and out the door. So, the bottleneck is going to subside in short order.

Watch for my post on the SW machines!

Dave

Yea, I saw this too. Very interesting and extremely ambitious project. I was wondering what the deal with the actual game PCB is.

Soon to be an epic thread.

Man! A delivered SW cockpit at my house for under $3000? And its all brand new? Smoking Deal! Even the upright is a sweet deal when you figure everything is brand new!

*Drool*

If I could afford it, I'd definitly bump up and get the switchable board! ESB is a rad game!

what about Lucas Arts ?

They stopped phoenix from selling the artwork.

Amazing project. I wish I had the room. Looks like lots of interest from down under

Count me in on a Cockpit!!! Hell Yeah...

But I am curious how the "switchable" option will work? Button, switch or does the owner have to disconnect/reconnect boards?

Eitherway, count me in on a cockpit!!!

Do you need downpayment now to help fund your project?

Just curious here... how are you going through with this Dave? I know Lucasfilm defends it's patents vigorously so I just hope you have some kind of deal in place. Again, just curious... I really don't mean to come off as negatory as this is an awesome project. ;)

Hopefully, these will be numbered during production. Owning 1 or 200 (or so) would be cool!

OMG. Fathers day is coming up...I may have to do this thing...

Does this include shipping??? EDIT: $100 for CA shipping, $250 for all else.

I am green around the gills when it comes to most everything so forgive this question if it stoopid....but is it possible to just obtain one of these cockpits with everything sans PCB(s) and then buy original PCB(s) and use the existing (new?) wiring to run the old PCB(s) without any further work?

Essentially everything repro except the PCB(s).

You should take down the page until you're ready to go live. The Lucas legal team goes after smaller items than this so don't kid yourself thinking they won't notice.

I was involved in the toy industry at one point and some of my friends had to deal with Lucas's team regularly. They routinely complained about them being the most difficult part of their business.

Agreed! Take it down. You will sell-out with just KLOVers at first.

By the way, according the www.ggdb.com , the cockpit version weights ~450 pounds. Will it be in one piece or two? Just trying to figure out if I can get it up stairs with a right-angle or not. LOL
