I'm in the middle of making Lunar Lander control panels. They're precision laser cut steel panels with powder coat. They're just about to be released, so heads up. I'm trying to time this as precisely as possible with the release of the reproduction thrust controller and the reproduction mission select panels, so this is an important subject to me.

I've been intent on screen printing the artwork directly onto the control panels just like Atari did, but someone pointed out that they may want one withOUT the artwork screened on. After mulling it over, I wanted to find out how much interest there was in blank LL control panels without the artwork screened on.

So, show of hands:

- Brand new reproduction Lunar Lander control panels WITH artwork screened directly onto panel.

OR

- Brand new reproduction Lunar Lander control panels WITHOUT artwork screened directly onto panel.

If there is enough interest, I may make a batch of each. Right now is the time to voice your opinion on this subject so I can get an accurate reading before I make my decision. If I get no response, I will go with the initial plan to make the reproduction control panels with the artwork screen printed directly onto the panels.

Thanks for your interest.

why not screen the art of the panel? The point to repducing them is to be as exact as possible. They are supposed to be screened on, so do it.

If someday your panel gets worn out, then you can always put an overlay ontop of the it..

I can see that some people will want to multi the LL panel and for them, you can make a few extra blanks. Or maybe you could come up with a panel that has asteroids button layout included..

I can't see that anyone wouldn't want the art work on. For sure offer them with the art work. Also i sent you several emails re; an order that i paid for, looking for an update. thx

...precisely as possible...

This is the real ram-effect folks. Precision and purity.

It is appreciated Dave.

Nope, I don't have a LL, no dog in this.....just appreciation for what Dave kicks into the hobby.

Now back to your regularly scheduled project....

Hey guys,

Thanks for the input.

Ok, well I think it's settled! LL Control Panels WITH artwork screened directly onto them. Check!

FYI, a client flaked out on me this weekend, so I had 100% use of the laser available for RAM Controls projects and a staff to take care of it for me. Yes! Considering how much work was done, it was worth paying them to stick around to mind the machines. I had a VERY productive weekend!! I got me some Lunar Lander, Battlezone, Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe, Red Baron, Missile Command, Star Wars (upright and cockpit), Assault and Tempest control panels cut. I have the flats sitting and waiting to be formed. Keep your fingers crossed that I have more free time (without LOSING any contracts) to get these formed, powder coated and artwork applied (to the ones that need it).

Watch for the announcements coming SOON!

Oooh... does this mean you will at some point sell screened printed Missile Command panels?

I don't have an exact price in mind yet, but it will be more than reasonable. My cost on the materials isn't bad (because I buy in huge bulk) and I don't really see anything here that will run the price up. These will require the artwork to be "baked" onto the panels which is the only unknown in this process. The price won't be bad. Hold on while I get these done and make the official announcement.

I didn't run any of those this last weekend. I would need originals in my hands to work from. They're small enough, I could easily run them. Are there any other cabaret panels that need to be done?

Oh, I would need any samples to have artwork intact, otherwise my repros will end up being blank. Anyone??

You didn't mention cabaret panels, but I'd be curious if you'd consider BZ and/or Missile Command cabaret panels?
