Reproduction cabinets..

Probably concerned about how easily a flat pack could be duplicated.

Not really.... all of the plans are posted at www.classicarcadecabinets.com and are free to download. They are CNC plans and CAD plans with measurements, so they aren't tooo bad to use.

Flat packing for shipping will only work for a few of the cabarets (Taito, Williams, but not Atari for example) and cocktails. Standard carrier shipping is limited on overall package dimensions which are a combination of length, width, and circumference. None of the standard cabinets would be able to be shipped this way (FedEx, UPS, US Postal). Last time I looked into it, it would be about $110 -$140 to ship a cabaret as a flat pack.

If you try and ship a standard sized cabinet as a flat pack, you would need to have it on the equivalent of two pallets and it would cost nearly the same as shipping two upright cabinets. There would be a saving if multiple flat packs were shipped together. Unfortunately, most hobbyists who are cutting cabinets (like myself and others) do not have ready access to a loading dock or a forklift to be able to handle these due to weight.

Thanks

I don't want to mess with assembly. I have a freight account so shipping is usually pretty reasonable.
Sure would like to order me that Food fight.........
