Reproduction Battlezone Control Handle Shaft by RAM Controls

It's not over with yet. I've really been working HARD this last week (which is my excuse for being off of the forum for a bit). As I said before in the other posts tonight, I decided to focus on getting a few parts completed this week and I have some results to share.

Next item on the list: Battlezone Control Handle Shafts

This steel part in an exact replacement part for the original Atari Battlezone shafts. The only difference really is that these parts are brand new 2010 models as opposed to the 80's model we're used to seeing...you know, those rusted out parts we figure we could live with because...well, there wasn't anything to replace it with... Until now. I've got brand new repro parts ready to ship!!!

Check 'em out:

Side-by-side comparison. OEM (used) part on left. Brand new reproduction part on right. I can't help but notice how clean the new parts are compared to the old. Wow!

Side-by-side comparison. OEM (used) part below. Brand new reproduction part above. I spent some time on this part to make sure that every last dimension was perfect the first time. I so nailed it!

Of course, here's the gratuitous photo to demonstrate I have some QTY on hand, ready to ship!

So, these are available now @ $25ea, shipped. Enjoy!! Watch for my next few posts about the other parts I just finished making.

Oh, and yes these will work with the 1.5" pivot balls I sell.... and will also work with the handles, bellows and Battlezone shells when I have them done. LOL

I think those look amazing and I think it is great that there are people still making parts to help collectors out, but ......

It seems like you made an awful lot of them. Are there really that many collectors out there looking for this part? You must have several hundred of them there!

Hopefully in 30 years when the ones that get sold now start to deteriorate, someone will show up with a few boxes of NOS Ram Controls parts!

That's something about me..... do everything over the top. :) I try to make more parts than I could ever possibly need in hopes that I won't ever run out. The thinking is that the more I run at one time, the less I pay per part and the more I have in stock. I've done the same thing with every last part I make... even the Major Havoc roller controller. I made 250pcs on my first run and I sold out! I made another (bigger) run and sold out again. In fact, I'm down to my last 50pcs from the third run. I was certain that 250pcs would be enough for a lifetime. I underestimated the demand, obviously.

Anyhow, just know that when I make these parts, I try to make enough to go around in our community for the long-haul.

Sweet. I honestly hope you sell every last one of them, but when I saw that pic I couldn't help but think, "Jesus, that's a lot of Battlezone joystick handle parts!"

Friz,

Thank you for notifying me of this. I have not been on BYOAC in awhile, so I was unaware of the breakdown going on over there. I'll get it all under control. Just a few more yokes and the drama is over with. BTW, international orders are a pain in the rear for me when yokes are concerned. They're expensive to ship, especially when I have to fall back on UPS (tracking)...

Anyhow, thanks again.

Dave...

You might want to visit BYOAC and address this post:

It seems you're continuing to bolster the RAM EFFECT... and here I thought you'd taken care of business and got the whole SW Yoke mess taken care of. Why am I not surprised? Mallard...

Send them USPS international priority. You get tracking and they fit in that nice box you sent mine in ages ago!
